I paid a visit to His Excellency the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ankara, my dear friend Mr. Mekan Ishanğuliyev, at the Embassy premises. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Syria–Turkmenistan relations were discussed in a comprehensive manner, with particular emphasis on ways to enhance cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields. The two sides also exchanged views on prospects for further developing bilateral relations in line with the mutual interests of both nations.
It was emphasized during the meeting that the historical ties and mutual understanding between the Syrian and Turkmen peoples constitute a solid foundation for launching future joint projects. Hope was expressed, God willing, that the coming period would witness positive and practical steps contributing to the advancement of Syria–Turkmenistan relations across various sectors.
At the conclusion of the visit, I expressed my sincere appreciation to His Excellency the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality, wishing him continued success and prosperity, and reaffirming the aspiration for further progress and strengthening of relations between Syria and Turkmenistan.
