Tarık Sulo Cevizci was born in 1984 in Çobanbey, a Türkmen town located in the Aleppo–Al-Bab region. He successfully completed his undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 2010. In the same year, he began his graduate studies in Engineering Management at Istanbul Technical University.

Following the developments in Syria, he actively assumed a leading role in political, social, and institutional efforts aimed at defending the rights of the Syrian Türkmen community and strengthening its representation. In 2015, he completed his master’s degree in International Relations at Istanbul Commerce University. He continued his academic career at the same institution and was awarded a PhD in Communication and Media Studies in 2022.

In addition to his academic career, Cevizci has undertaken significant responsibilities in public service and civil society. He served as President of the Syrian Türkmen Associations Federation, established in 2017 with the aim of uniting Türkmen communities in Türkiye under an institutional framework. He has also achieved notable success in his administrative and academic roles at Istanbul Commerce University.

He continues his work with a guiding principle of utilizing his academic and professional expertise in service of society and the public good.

In 2025, following the Syrian Revolution, Tarık Sulo Cevizci was elected as a Member of Parliament for Aleppo through the direct will of the people in the first free general elections held in Syria. He continues his legislative duties in line with the principles of national unity, social stability, and democratic representation.
